Sunny Side Up

Say what you ate. Get numbers that hold up.

Describe your meal or photograph it. Sunny Side Up recognises the dish, then takes the nutrients from verified food data — USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, or the printed label. Where that data carries no entry, the product marks its own estimate as an estimate — and nothing is saved until you confirm it.

The honest bit

AI trackers are fast and confidently wrong. Classic trackers are accurate and so tedious that people quit inside a week. We show our work instead: what we think you ate, how sure we are about the dish and about the portion, and where every number came from — then we wait for you to confirm or correct it.

How it works

  1. Describe it or photograph it

“A bowl of borscht with sour cream and two slices of rye bread” is enough. A photo helps. Both is best.

  2. A grounded estimate, two confidences

One confidence for the dish, one for the portion. They fail for different reasons, so we never merge them into a single score.

  3. Confirm or correct — then it's saved

Nothing is written to your day until you say so. Fixing a shaky portion is one tap: 250 g, 350 g, 450 g, or slide to the exact weight.

Why it's different

  • Numbers from verified data

The model names the dish and estimates the portion; the nutrients come from a matched database entry or a transcribed label.

  • Two confidences, always visible

Shown as a word and a meter — never as a colour you have to decode, in either theme.

  • Your food memory, not a catalogue

No wall of thousands of strangers' entries. It learns your breakfasts and repeats them in one tap.

  • A word after every meal

Computed from your real day so far. Supportive and specific — never a guilt trip, never an invented figure.

Health data, handled like it

Your meals and photos are processed only with your explicit consent. You can view, correct, export and delete everything you've logged. No advertising, no third-party tracking, no dark patterns, and no streaks designed to make a missed day feel like a failure.
